Best College Care Package Ideas

The Study Power-Up Kit

Midterms and finals are extremely important and having the right supplies makes a huge difference.

Pack:

  • highlighters
  • flash cards
  • headphones
  • snack packs
  • stress ball
  • energy drink

This is a great starter kit to send for study prep.

Plus, it’s way better to purchase supplies in your area rather than on-campus as school supplies tend to be pricier.

The Relaxing Self-Love Kit

With finals to prepare, essays to write, and projects to finish, it can be easy for college students to forget about themselves.

So sending them a self-love kit will definitely boost their mood and relieve stress.

Pack:

  • face mask or clay mask
  • fuzzy socks
  • hair mask
  • lotion
  • note

Also, a simple note of encouragement is huge and lets them know that you are here for them.

I remember how busy I was during midterms and project deadlines, but just spending an hour or two relaxing changes a lot.

Not only do I feel more energized, but also better to take on more tasks.

Newbie Cook Kit

If your student is starting to cook or new to cooking, then this kit is perfect for them.

Packing Option 1 (for pasta lovers):

  • box pasta
  • pasta sauce of your choice
  • instant mashed potatoes
  • canned vegetables

Packing Option 2 (for rice lovers):

  • small bag of rice
  • canned soup
  • chickpeas
  • curry paste

Packing Option 3 (for dessert lovers):

  • brownie mix
  • cookie mix
  • small whisk
  • mug cake mix
  • measuring spoons

Here are a few options to start off with based on what they like.

**Tip: pack foods that don’t go bad quickly and has a longer shelf life.

The Stay Fit Workout Kit

Usually college gyms are packed with people all hours of the day.

So, a simple solution?

Why not send your student a workout kit that they can do even within their dorms?

Pack:

  • yoga mat
  • resistance bands
  • empty water dumbbells
  • protein powder
  • towel

Instead of shipping real dumbbells which are heavy and costly, opt for empty water dumbbells.

Then, your student can fill it up with water when they receive the dumbbells.

A yoga mat is also great to protect them when they are doing stretches, jumping, or moving a lot to lessen the noise on other floors.

Stress Reliever Kit

Sometimes there aren’t much down time for college, but there should always be time for health.

Keep your student healthy (and not just physically) by providing stress relieving activities for them to do.

Pack:

  • coloring book
  • colored pencils
  • markers
  • sudoku
  • word search
  • journal

Taking 20 minutes to color or jotting down about what they are grateful for will help student’s mind.

They will have time to rewind and not stress about their academics for a while.

Moreover, it’s also beneficial for a quick break instead of scrolling on the phone.

And funny enough, I found myself doing more crafts and coloring than in my kindergarten days.

It feels fun to plan a picnic with your friends and do a painting day.

The Super Snack Kit

Aside from main meals, it is equally important to have snacks to munch on.

Also, snacks are great to replenish energy from studying, boost mood during movie nights, and save a few hungry growls between busy class schedules.

Pack:

  • granola or protein bars
  • juice or Gatorade
  • trail mix
  • chocolate
  • baked popcorn or veggie chips
  • dried fruit slices

Your student will thank you for these snacks and who doesn’t enjoy a snack?

Plus, it will save late night cravings when it might be dangerous to roam outside.

The Feel Better Soon Package

It is inevitable that your student will catch a cold or get sick during college.

Make them feel better by sending them a feel better soon kit!

Pack:

  • cough drops
  • lemon and honey tea packets
  • box of tissues
  • a warm throw
  • ice pack

Not only is this a thoughtful gift, but it will be a great pick me up for your student!

The last thing I want when I’m sick and feeling under the weather is to go out and buy these items.

It’s so convenient and handy to have these essentials for sick days!
