MPOWER Women in STEM Scholarship
Deadline: January 31, 2023 (occurs annually)
Award: Grand Prize: $6,000
Runner-Up: $2,000

Eligibility:
- Be accepted at or enrolled in a full-time degree program at a U.S. or Canadian school that MPOWER supports
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be female
- Be an international student allowed to legally study in the U.S., or Canada, as applicable:
- For study in the U.S., means that the applicant meets ONE of these requirements:
- Has a valid visa that permits study in the U.S.
- Is protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)
- Is a U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder)
- For study in Canada, means the applicant meets ONE of the requirements:
- Is a Canadian permanent resident
- Has a valid Canadian permit
- For study in the U.S., means that the applicant meets ONE of these requirements:
- You do not need to be an MPOWER borrower or applicant to apply for MPOWER Women in STEM Scholarship as long as you meet the eligibility criteria above

AAUW International Fellowships
Deadline: November 15 (occurs annually and starts on August 1st each year)
Award: Master’s/first professional degree: $20,000

Postdoctoral: $50,000
Eligibility:
- Open to women, including people who identify as women, in all fields of study at an accredited institution of higher education or, for postdoctoral fellows, research.
- Have citizenship in a country other than the U.S. or possession of a nonimmigrant visa if residing in the U.S.
- Hold an academic degree (earned in the U.S. or abroad) equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree completed by November 15, 2022
- Intend to devote themselves full-time to the proposed academic plan during the fellowship year
- Intend to return to their home country to pursue a professional career and upon completion of their studies
- Be proficient in English and confirm proficiency by submitting ONE of the required documents:
- certain English proficiency exams
- transcripts from English-speaking institutions
- a written statement verifying English is the applicant’s native language

- Must be a female student enrolled either at:
- The main physical campus of a Bay Area
- Be enrolled and attending a school satellite campus located within 1 of the 9 Bay Area counties and take at least eighty percent (80%) of classes at a satellite campus
- Must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or equivalent

- Undergraduate/community college applicants must be planning to study an ABET-accredited program in engineering, technology, or computing in the upcoming academic year

- Must be a graduating female senior or returning female college student from the greater Kansas City area
- Intending to further your education at a two-year or four-year college or university or at a vocational or technical school who is seeking a degree in a technology-related field
